Have you ever taken a job your brain wanted, but your gut

A friend of mine recently had an offer for a great
position in southern NJ. But it would have meant
a 2 hour commute each way, and because of family,
he can't relocate.
It's difficult to say 'no' to a good position that pays
good money, but we need to stay practical. Even for
a temp position. Is commuting 1.5 hours worth it
for a job that's only four hours a day? What energy
do you have left over for your family or to search
for a more suitable position?
It's a personal decision. No one can tell you where to
strike the balance, but sometimes your gut can.
